You Heard It Here First: Them Crooked Vultures To Play New Zealand

UPDATE>> It’s official, Them Crooked Vultures have announced a six date tour of New Zealand and Australia. It’s not the Big Day Out headliner as we were predicting but I don’t think there will be any compalints there. The dates are as follows:

Tuesday January 19 @ Challenge Stadium, Perth
Friday January 22 @ Festival Hall, Melbourne
Monday January 25 @ Riverstage, Brisbane
Tuesday January 26 @ Hordern Pavillion, Sydney
Friday January 29 @ TSB Arena, Wellington
Saturday January 30 @ Vector Arena, Auckland

Hey, remember the other day when we told you that supergroup Them Crooked Vultures may be touring Australia? Well, it turns out that those posters, like the one above, have started popping up around Auckland. The posters are identical to the ones in Melbourne and feature a link to Frontier Touring with the tagline ‘Follow What’s Heard.’ There is also a countdown to the official announcement, which will happen on Thursday morning.

But it’s pretty certain anyway considering the Them Crooked Vultures MySpace page have the ‘Follow What’s Heard’ tagline and the Them Crooked Vultures forum has exactly the same thing. The tour dates on their MySpace page also show that they’re busy until late December so they could potentially be headlining the Big Day Out festival that runs through New Zealand and Australia in January.

Frontier Touring are also hinting via Twitter that a big announcement is going to happen. So, when the official announcement finally happens just remember where you heard it first okay?
