Midnight Youth “Calvalry”

I just love how huge this song sounds. It’s like they’ve taken all the best parts of that stadium rock sound and applied it to four minutes of music that just doesn’t let up. Sort of seems like they’ve taken a page out of the Foo Fighters notebook too and used the formula to their advantage. It’s just a pity that they don’t quite have the audience needed to justify it but it’s got balls so I’m gonna back it anyway. Also great is that part where everything drops out right on the last chorus and it completely turns into this singalong anthem that refuses to get out of your head much like their ‘All On Our Own Did.’ Say what you will but it’ll be so disappointing if this song doesn’t do big things. I say ditch the ballady shit of ‘Learning To Fall’ and stick to this.
