
And now for some bad news. Australian photographer Sam Haskins, best known for his work Five Girls, Cowboy Kate, November Girl and Haskins Posters, passed away on Wednesday night. Haskins started his photography career by taking a job as an advertising photographer in the early 1950’s and released his first renowned work Five Girls in 1962. This year Haskins released his first book in two decades, Fashion Etcetera. The book is a retrospective that contains work from his career which stretched over fifty years and a special edition of the book in collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger was also released. On September 19, Haskins suffered from a life altering stroke which saw him move back home to Australia from New York. Haskins son, Ludwig Haskins, said that his father had suffered from post stroke depression and took his own life. More information over here and pictures below.
