Polaroid founder Edwin Land was the real &quot;leading edge&quot; of 3D. He developed a successful non-anaglyph 3D camera and projector using polarising filters - which could be used to make B+W and colour 3D films. The viewing spectacles were mass-produced by Carl Zeiss AG - the same company that now make Sony Corporation&#039;s SLR lenses!
