The Strokes Announce New Album
The Strokes have announced that their first album since 2006′s First Impressions of Earth will be titled Angles and is due out on March 22 in the US. The band spoke to Rolling Stone magazine to say that the album took two years to record and they scrapped most of their sessions with Joe Chiccarelli before deciding to produce it themselves in Albert Hammond Jr.’s own studio.
They also say that the ten new songs were recorded democratically, with all five members of the band contributing to the record. Track names that have been revealed so far include ‘Radio Minor Madness’, ‘Undercover of Darkness’, ‘Taken For A Fool’ and ‘Life Is Simple’.
