Foo Fighters Announce Charity Gig To Raise Money For Christchurch

This is big. The Foo Fighters announced today that they are heading to Auckland to play a one-off show at the Auckland Town Hall, with all proceeds going to Christchurch. Tickets for the show, happening next Tuesday, are on sale from Friday and NZ Herald is reporting that they may be priced between $175-250. The band have visited New Zealand a bunch of times now — they were last here in May 2009 and Dave Grohl visited most recently with John Paul Jones and Josh Homme for a Them Crooked Vultures show in early 2010.
