Vodafone NZ Music Awards 2011 Winners

We didn’t have enough pull and just didn’t care enough about this sort of thing a year ago so we really had no idea what was going to happen last night when we scored a bunch of media passes and decided that we’d live tweet the New Zealand music awards ceremony. We ended up in the ‘media room’ with couches, a tv and an open bar, boxed in with people we tried to avoid eye contact with, and kept locked away from the actual ceremony that was going on down the hall. We took a bunch of photos, said some things that we may or may not delete real soon and just generally spent the evening watching our friends trying to charm some AUT intern media room hostesses while praying that our iPhone’s didn’t run out of battery. But this isn’t going to be the story of the night catching up to us. There are some things you just have to live with. Congratulations to TNAF and Brooke Fraser — who each took home five awards — and everyone else that was nominated too. We’re just going out to re-up on Nurofen, don’t expect many updates from us today.
