NZ Music Month Shows Announced


Becks and the NZ Music Commission have announced a series of shows during May to celebrate NZ Music Month.  The seven shows will be based around the country over the month and kick of with a free set from Lawrence Arabia in Auckland on May 1. The last show will also be celebrating Arch Hill Records’ 15th birthday with sets from Don McGlashan, Ghost Wave, Street Chant, The Transistors, Surf City and Doprah. Tickets for all non-free shows are on sale now from Under The Radar.

Thursday May 1, Takutai Square, Britomart (12.15pm): Lawrence Arabia (free)

Thursday May 1, Tyler St Garage, Auckland (8pm): She’s So Rad, Delete Delete, Paquin (free) 

Friday May 2, Matterhorn, Wellington (11pm): Doprah

Thursday May 15, DuxLive, Christchurch (8pm): Janine & The Mixtape + guests

Saturday May 17, Kings Arms, Auckland (8pm): Native Tongue showcase featuring Phoenix Foundation, The Bads, Mulholland

Saturday May 24, Chicks Hotel, Dunedin (8pm): David Kilgour & The Heavy8’s, Death & The Maiden, Brown.

Friday May 30, Kings Arms, Auckland (8pm): Arch Hill Records 15th Birthday, featuring Don McGlashan, Ghost Wave, Street Chant, The Transitors, Surf City, Doprah & special guests.
