It’s hard not to believe that the artists that played at The Winter Shuffle — the all-ages show held in Auckland on Saturday night  — weren’t all on the verge of something much bigger. The show featured Kidz In Space, Computers Want Me Dead, Ruby Frost, Massad Barakat-Devine and Dats The Crux, who have been busy making their own lane in our local scene. It was also a night of  cover songs. Kidz In Space took on Mike Posner’s Cooler Than You before interpolating We Speak No Americano into their set a little later, while Dats The Crux settled for the oddly suitable One Night In Bangkok. DTC, who have just released their video for Confetti, should be huge right about now, so we’re doing our part to make sure that happens. Check out the photos below.

Kidz In Space’s Whiz Kidd) and you should hopefully start to hear  the track on radio soon. The post-apocalyptic ladies have a couple of shows coming up but can you check their MySpace for more details on that. Just know that the shows will probably be themed and that you won’t want to miss them. They also have a four-track digital-only EP DATS THE CRUX: Adorobot, which is out February 25 on iTunes, Amplifier, Digirama, Vodafone and Telecom. I’ll be buying it and I suggest you do too.
