Animal Collective Announce New Album “Centipede Hz”

Animal Collective have announced via a video on their website that their new album Centipede Hz will be out this September on Domino Records. The tracklisting for the record has also been released and interestingly doesn’t feature either ‘Honeycomb’ or ‘Gotham’, both new tracks that were released last week.

Ladyhawke Reveals New Album “Anxiety”

Ladyhawke has revealed that her fothcoming sophomore album will be called Anxiety, and according to NME, will be released on March 19 2012. Below you can watch a teaser video containing footage of her recording, pictures of her album artwork and a snippet of a brand new song.

Tyler, The Creator Announces New Album “Wolf”

After recently being dropped from the local leg of the Big Day Out, Tyler, The Creator has announced that his new album Wolf will be out in May 2012. He spoke to Spin magazine about the new album in the change in direction stating:

“Talking about rape and cutting bodies up, it just doesn’t interest me anymore…What interests me is making weird hippie music for people to get high to. With Wolf, I’ll brag a little bit more, talk about money and buying shit. But not like any other rapper, I’ll be a smart-ass about it. Now it’s just girls throwing themselves at me and shit, but I got a girl back home. People who want the first album again, I can’t do that. I was 18, broke as fuck. On my third album, I have money and I’m hanging out with my idols. I can’t rap about the same shit.”

Golden Axe Announces Tour and New Album

Golden Axe have announced that their fourth album Liquid Bacon (and first international release through the Czech Republic-based AMDISCS label) will be released on cassette tape and pay-what-you-want digital download on December 9. The album will also be released on coloured vinyl in February 2012, and the band have also announced that they are heading out on a three-date tour in support of it. Leonard Cohen To Release New Album “Old Ideas”

Leonard Cohen, who recently toured New Zealand late last year, has announced that he will release a new album in 2012. The record, called Old Ideas, is the first release since 2004′s Dear Heather and will feature 10 new songs. Cohen told Spanish reporters of the forthcoming release and also said that the recording for it had already finished – “I’ve played it for a few people, and they seem to like it”. [via NY Times]
